Nsunku is a combination of two words from the Akan language: Nsu meaning water and Nku meaning shea butter. Knowing our skin and body requires the components of these two elements, the lipids of the butter and the hydration provided by water to keep it healthy and strong, our formulation is hyper-focused on ensuring high-quality emollients and humectants are incorporated in our products. We believe that beautiful, healthy skin starts with nature. As the creator of nsunku skin and someone who has struggled with dry skin, I am dedicated to creating skin and body care products powered by the most effective botanicals and extracts.

All our products are made in the UK in small batches. We aim to keep not just your skin clear but your conscience too; Our formulations are also vegan and cruelty free!

The bigger picture: We are a brand dedicated to developing natural skincare using the highest quality African botanicals to tackle dry and dehydrated skin issues. In the future, we hope to champion the development and adoption of underused heritage and traditional raw materials that are local to many Sub-Saharan African regions. Ingredients that are used in everyday life but are also powerful actives, nutrient-rich and beneficial in skin treatments.
